HSE Superintendants


AGC is a growth oriented company operating in Australia and South East Asia providing a range of fabrication, construction and integrated services to natural resource development companies.
Due to phenomenal growth, AGC are currently seeking HSE professionals to support our workforce on site and are seeking to employ appropriately qualified and experienced HSE Superintendents to join the team on a full time basis. Experience within the oil and gas, construction and resource project exposure, on a fly in fly basis is essential for these roles.

The HSE Superintendent is responsible to engage, encourage, coach, mentor, direct and support project management teams in developing and applying inputs and outputs skills and strategies to achieve desired HSE performance. The successful candidate will implement, monitor, and enforce HSE management systems and performance such that the projects and profit centers can achieve continuous improvements and meet project and corporate goals and expectations and provide technical guidance to HSE and project personnel to build dynamic teams.
 
Key responsibilities are:
 
  • Conduct training of the work force and provide general HSE coverage
  • Reporting HSE management performance
  • Monitoring and evaluating lead and lag performance of the project
  • Providing information and resources to identify and respond to workplace risk
  • Promoting the ‘Perfect Day’ philosophy
  • Assist with development of HSE management initiatives
 
To be considered for this role the successful candidate must possess the following:
 
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience with the HSE sector and 2 years’ experience in a superintendent role
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Professional OHS qualifications (Cert IV minimum)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities
  • Lead Auditor 4801/9001 qualifications
  • Intermediate skill level across Microsoft Office Suite
  • Significant experience in working with Safety Management Systems
