AusGroup Awarded $50 million Multi Discipline Services Contract by Alcoa

AusGroup Limited subsidiary, AGC Industries Pty Ltd (‘AGC’), a leading Australian based construction, integrated services and fabrication company, has been appointed by Alcoa of Australia Limited to carry out the management and execution of core multi-disciplinary services (MDS) to Alcoa’s Wagerup Refinery, located inWestern Australia.

The five year contract covers a range of mechanical, electrical and scaffolding services. Valued in excess of $50 million, this award is in addition to the Maintenance Services Contract AGC secured in 2007 for Alcoa’s other alumina refineries throughout Western Australia.

“This contract will allow AGC the opportunity to further develop the local workforce and provide local opportunities to the community”.

AGC is proud to be associated with Alcoa’s Wagerup alumina refinery which is a notable model of sustainability. The refinery has been a part of the Western Australian community since operations began in 1984. It is part of Alcoa’s three-refinery system in Western Australia that is among the most technologically advanced in the world.

With this contract award, AusGroup’s order book now stands at AU$285 million.
